WEEK 3 (in descending chronological date order)
May 14, 2011 Hmmmmm, the trip to Virginia and permanently out of the whelp box is just in time (next weekend!)! Everyone is getting very curious about the outside world! The 4 walls of the whelp box - BORING! So, MA mommy put together their first field trip into a pen set up in the family room. Well, what's up with walls again?! The puppies are doing great and will be weaned this week. The look on Katie's face in the picture below says it all. IT IS TIME for the milk bar to close! Stay tuned for Week 4 "first food" pictures :)







May 5 - 11, 2011 UP AND AROUND!!! Everyone continues to grow. They are starting to interact with each other, and their teeth are starting to push through their gums. They are feeding with intensity now. Poor mom is feeling like her purpose in life is being a milk machine. The puppies are dainty about feeding now. They are piranhas eating in a feeding frenzy!!! Thankfully, mom only has a few more days to go. She will be weaning them soon, and they will be making their way south to Virginia soon after that!
