Dear Diary,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY my babies!!!!!!!!!!!
I went into
pre-labor around 9pm. Mom looked at me funny thinking I might be
faking it. Given my progesterone levels and when I should have
ovulated, I shouldn't be due to whelp until Friday. What do blood
tests mean, anyway - really! I was ready - let's go!!! After
a few hours, I went into full active labor. I was able to deliver
them all in exactly 2 hours. I am SO HAPPY they are here and are
all very active, healthy and hearty!!! They are beautiful!!!!!!!
Thank you Auntie Gail for coming over in the middle of the night to
help me!!!

Dear Diary,
Well, one more week to go! Having a much harder time moving
around now. I am not a complainer, but I can't help let out a sigh
when I lie down these days. I tend to "spread out" when my tummy
comes in contact with anything. So, I am much less vizsla-like and
spread out on my side to rest with my legs out - no curling up in a ball
for me!!!
This will probably be my last post pre-baby,
diary. I am resting a lot and getting ready. Mom has put the
whelp box together and the family room is looking like a hospital ward.
I know the day is coming! I am SO EXCITED!!!!! I think I
heard that the x-ray looked like six babies. I can't wait until
they are here!!!!
Ok, count the babies! How many???

Dear Diary,
It has been a couple of weeks since I last wrote. I am growing
a lot these days. I am feeling the babies move around now.
Mom says she can feel them and see them now - that is VERY exciting!
It makes it harder to rest, but that is ok. I know that they are
just going to be getting bigger and bigger these last two weeks, so this
is only the beginning!
Now, I am slowing it down a bit.
Getting less and less agile. Focusing on rest and relaxation.
Still VERY hot outside. Supposed to be in the high 90's for a
while. Another reason to stay in the air conditioning and rest.
Last Saturday was awesome. I caught a groundhog!!! I am
not sure what all the screaming was about from mom - it was SO COOL!
I had to eventually drop it, but I hunted it down, and I had a blast
catching it!!! I am not going hungry tonight (just kidding)!!!
Will write again soon -

Dear Diary,
I am about 5
weeks pregnant now and I am starting to grow!!! It is SO HOT
outside - over 90 degrees!! UGH!

Dear Diary,
YIPPPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!! I am
pregnant!!!!!!!!!! I felt pregnant, but now I know for sure!
Mom took me to the vet today. They turned me upside down in the
padded "V" contraption so my belly was right side up. Then, they
squeezed this cold, blue, yucky stuff on my tummy. But then, they
used this magic wand on my tummy and I could see my babies on a monitor.
JOY, JOY, JOY, JOY!!!!!!!! I am SO excited. Now we just wait
for me to grow and take care of the precious ones. JOY, JOY, JOY -
I am SO happy!!!!

Dear Diary,
Same old same. Not much
changing around here. It is hot as blazes for early June!
Nothing really to report yet. I would like to think I'm pregnant,
but there is no way to tell yet. I think mom is taking me for an
Ultrasound in a week or so. Then, we will know for sure.
Until then, I am getting my rest and hoping to see babies soon!!!

Dear Diary,
I am all settled in now. Back
to the same routine - ahhhh. I really want to thank Henry and
Richard for their wonderful hospitality. It was so comfortable at
their house. THANK YOU for letting us stay with you. We had
so much fun! Mom said she really enjoyed the dinners and getting
to know you. You guys are GREAT!!!! Now, we just wait for a
few weeks for ultrasound in hopes of seeing some Hudson babies!
The waiting is going to be hard, but we will get there!!!!

Dear Diary,
Woke up and we were on the move.
Lots of packing and getting the car ready. I wonder, I really
wonder - will I get to see Hudson one more time? He isn't going to
have a whole lot of swimmers left for me by now, BUT, one more time
would be really nice for me! A wonderful way to spend the next
million hours in the car on the way home. The car is all packed
and I am put in my crate. DARN, I thought I would get one last
chance to see my man!!! I start to get settled in for a long ride,
and then I see mom coming at me with the rope lead. YAY!!!!!!!
I DO get one more time with my man. Off to "the room" I happily
go!!! My handsome man comes barreling down the stairs. I am
going to make the most of this now - I KNOW I am going right back into
my crate in the car. So, we play for a few minutes and have a
final tie for 32 minutes. I can't wait to have babies. Ok
body - please do your thing - I REALLY want to be a mommy. I got
to rest all the way home.

Dear Diary,
Had another relaxing night's sleep.
Today we got to go and visit Sharon and family in MA. I got to see
my Aunt Kailee, and even better yet, my daughter Katie. I sure
have missed Katie Kate. Mom was overjoyed. Katie gave us the
best wiggle-butt welcome of all time! We spent some time visiting
and felt so overjoyed to see the family so happy. The 3 V girls
are all so happy together. Sharon's son Jason and Katie are best
buddies. What a nice visit!!! Ok, this is all well and good.
BUT, when am I going to get to see "the Marlboro Man?" I am really
ready. Hudson, where are you??? We finally head back to his
house. I can't wait to get that rope lead around my neck and go
down the magic stairs!!! YUP, down we go!!! Shortly after, I
hear him - down the stairs, 4 at a time - there he is!!! He REALLY
likes me!!! Really, REALLY likes me!!! After a couple of
minutes, we tie for 30 minutes. WOW, I have a lot of swimmers in
me now!!! I heard that we might be leaving in the morning, I
wonder if I will get one more time with Hudson? Off to bed we go -
headed home tomorrow!!!

Dear Diary,
Had a nice relaxing night's sleep.
Today started out going to visit family. We got to see mom's
brother and sister in law and nephews play baseball. I got to walk
around and see the sites. A nice day! Then we went back to
Hudson's house. After a while, I got to go back down to "the
room!" I KNOW what that means now, YES I DO!!! I patiently
await the sound of the freight train coming down the stairs!!!
Hudson, where are you??? Then, I hear it! He is on his
way!!! We get to spend just a little more time together before we
tie for 20 minutes. Off I go to bed with mom. A very nice
way to end the day. Ok eggs and sperm - do your thing!!!!

Dear Diary,
Off to CT we go! Hudson, get
ready - I am on my way! The first few hours in the car were fine,
but what is it with the Merritt Parkway? Why are there so many
people on that road? We sat still, stuck, not moving - and then would
inch for close to 2 hours. The good news is, that I got to eat
dinner. No need to stop anywhere - mom just got my bowl, my food,
opened my crate door and, tada, dinner is served!! We finally
arrive in CT after 7 1/2 hours.
I didn't think that my day was
going to get any better given the long drive. But, alas! I
get out to stretch my legs and have a bathroom break - and then I am led
downstairs into a very nice room at Henry and Richard's house. Ok,
nice and cool down here. Nice carpet and Christmas decorations all
around in boxes and such. THEN, I hear a freight train coming down
the stairs. What could it be?? OMG, it is Hudson! He
really IS "the Marlboro Man!" SO HANDSOME and ALL MAN!!
Woooo hooooooooo!!!!!! I am SO ready to have babies with you,
Hudson. So, we get to know each other for a couple of minutes, and
then we get down to business. We tied for 20 minutes. YAY!!
The process has started. Off to bed I go with mom.

Dear Diary,
Why is it that I have to go
and get SO many blood tests?! Just because I came in early doesn't
mean that my rhythm is going to be early!!! So, after being
pricked 3 TIMES, mom finally says enough! I am getting close, so
time to think about heading north to see Henry, Richard, AND HUDSON!!!

Dear Diary,
I surprised everyone today by coming into season! I
think my mom thought it would be at LEAST another month. Well,
Mother Nature has her own ideas! So much for Hunt Test season.
I guess I won't get to run in any more in Master's until the fall.
I have to stop at 2 legs for now. That is a bummer, but I get to
have babies - and I LOVE my babies!!!!
